The first one was a meet at the Millenium Auditorium at the college in the morning which was organised by the college alumni association. Prof. T Krishnakumar, the Secretary of the association welcomed the audience. This was followed by the Presidential Address by the Principal Dr. K Vijayakumar. Afterwards we presented to the Alumni Association a cheque for Rs. 8 Lakhs as a collective contribution on the occasion of our Silver Jubilee of graduation, to the newly launched initiative called SAFE (Students' Assistance Fund for Education) which is a corpus being developed for providing scholarships to the meritorious students of our alma-mater who need a helping hand financially, for achieving their ambitions in life. The association secretary thanked the batch for making a giant step towards achieving the goals of SAFE. This was followed by honouring the 40 past tutors present, by alumni members. Then the stage was open to a session when many alumni members recalled their memories from college as well as hostel life. Around 260 people (alumni + family members) and 40 past tutors participated.
Session 2 - at the Banquet Hall
The second session was in the evening, which was held at the Banquet Hall of Hotel Ashoka Inn, where it was an informal gathering filled with music and fun by the members, their spouses and kids, followed by fellowship and dinner. Around 260 people participated.
