Tribute to Metty Varghese

Tribute to Metty Varghese (11 November 1962 - 11 January 2004)
Hailing from Nehru Nagar near Trichur, Metty joined Trichur Engineering College in 1981 to pursue her B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and came out with flying colours. She was married to Mr. Balfour Manuel in 1991 and was mother to two sons.

On January 11, 2004, she succumbed quite unexpectedly to death. She was diagnosed with cancer in November 2003, immediately underwent two sessions of chemotherapy and in fact was feeling much better and was leading an active life. She unfortunately contracted chicken-pox after her chemo session. On the fateful day, she moved around happily and had lunch on her own. By evening, contrary to all expectations, she collapsed suddenly and became a memory .....

We pray for the departed soul and for the bereaved family.
